Soup And A Story Returns To Biggar And Roberton
Company News
The third season of Soup And A Story, Braw Clan’s popular community programme, will begin in Roberton and Biggar this August.
Funded by The Hugh Fraser Foundation, The Sir Iain Stewart Foundation and Nadara, the first session will feature actor Caroline McKeown reading The Ringlets by Robert McLellan.
Creative Producer Martin Travers said:
“We’re so pleased Soup And A Story is back at the Gillespie Centre in Biggar and Roberton Village Hall. We ran the three pilot sessions here, thanks to SSE Renewables, in spring 2023. Those audiences showed us that this simple idea of a hot lunch and a live performance is something people want and benefit from. We went on to take Soup And A Story to Carnwath and Braehead last winter with the support of Awards for All. But this is where it started and I feel really proud that we’re back in the same places – for seven months this time.
We’ll hear lots of wonderful Linmill Stories this season – there are so many we didn’t get to last year. We’re also looking forward to Soup And A Sang in December.
