From skulduggery on Lanimer night to bigamous wives, Lanark man Andrew Forrest saved snippets of Clydesdale's most colourful news from our local papers and pasted them into his scrapbooks for almost seventy years.
Join us for a light-hearted reading of newspaper clippings he collected in the 1920s and 1930s, some of which inspired Braw Clan's forthcoming play The Needle Room, including court reports, blistering letters to the editor, eccentric members of the nobility and the strange events that unfolded when a doctor brought his pet monkey to work.
